Over 250 women-owned businesses and fashion designers showcased their products and services at the official launch of the ‘WE LIFT 4’ exposition on Saturday at the National Aquatic Centre.

Minister of Human Services and Social Security, Dr Vindhya Persaud, graced the opening ceremony, highlighting the significant role women play in entrepreneurship and innovation. “Women are eager for the opportunity, and we are providing it in so many ways. It is important to influence and inspire generations of women every day,” she stated.

Excitement and anticipation were palpable among the exhibitors. Felicity Sonaram of Pixie Hallow Makes expressed her eagerness to reach new audiences, while Amirah Ally of Rads Custom Rugs expressed how the expo provides an invaluable platform for start-ups to gain exposure.

Even young entrepreneurs found their space at WE LIFT 4. Eight-year-old Ashiana Singh proudly displayed her budding seasoning business, demonstrating the event’s commitment to empowerment across all ages.

The diverse range of businesses included The Sea Moss Sanctuary, offering innovative sea moss-based products, and various other ventures spanning fashion, food, health and home décor.

The expo continues until Sunday, April 21, from 2:00 hrs to 20:00 hrs, and is completely free to attend.
