Man, 36, fatally stabbed by abused victim

A 36-year-old man was allegedly murdered by a woman after his friend allegedly hit her with a hockey stick to her wrist.

Dead is Amaziah Hohnikirk, a Laborer of Lot 1803 Unity Place Festival City. The incident occurred on Friday at 07:00 hours at Lot 3 Perry Street, Tucville, Georgetown.

According to reports, the perpetrator has been identified as Alicia Edmonson, a 42-year-old housewife, of Lot 3 Perry Street, Tucville.

On Thursday at about 23:15 hours, Edmonson and one of her sons, Darrel Kennedy, a laborer, who also resides with her are friends Hohnekirk.

The victim and Darrel reportedly had a misunderstanding over a speaker box that was damaged for Darrel.

Today, at around 06:50 hours, Edmonson was allegedly abused by Darrel. The woman then informed her other son Malkchi Kennedy (a 21-year-old laborer) of the abused.

As a result, at around 07:00 hours this morning, Malkchi went in search of Darrel. However, during the search, Malkchi reportedly saw Hohnikirk with a male only identified as “Sean” on Perry Street, and an argument ensued, leading the men to the home of Edmonson.

While the men were at Lot 3 Perry Street, there was a confronted, and Sean allegedly armed himself with a hockey stick and struck Edmonson to her left wrist.

As a result, the woman armed herself with a knife and stabbed Hohnikirk once to his abdomen, once to his left wrist, and once to his right wrist.

The victim was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC), where he succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment. Edmonson and Malkchi are presently in custody.Investigations are ongoing.
