Last week, Henry’s mother, Rachel Henry, during an interview with the news, claimed that her has gone missing since March 15, 2024.

Henry said: “I’m the mother of Romein Henry, my only child. He is 19 years old. My son call me on the 15th of March 2024 at around 10:35pm and tell me that he come out from the bush with a taxi man name Teddy, and he spending the night at the said person and in the morning he will call me back because he want me to go reach him at Parika because he sick, he have malaria. So I said ok, call me early morning so I was waiting on the call. I go to Parika and wait. When I call his number, his phone is switched off straight to voicemail it go. So I didn’t think that was something bad, but then I kept calling his phone and the same thing, so I realized that something was wrong because no matter what, my son always called me or texted me.”

According to Henry, on March 15 at around 11:10 p.m., her son reportedly uploaded a photo of himself on his WhatsApp status, and she sent him a message but got no answers.

“Then he put up his picture on WhatsApp’s status, and I commented on it, but he didn’t reply to me. So, I found out from many people who work in the bush about this taxi man Teddy, so I went to check his facebook and saw that he’s Teddy Thomas. So, the last time I heard from my son, he was at Teddy Thomas house in Itaballi Region 7. After that said night, I never heard from my son anymore, and this thing made me stressed out so much because I’m a sickly woman for years. I don’t work I staying with one of my cousins. I travel with depression and it’s not easy what I’m facing right now,” Henry divulged.

The woman further disclosed that Teddy Thomas was later arrested in relation to her sons disappearance and kept in police custody for 72 hours, after which he was released on station bail. The woman said she believes that Thomas has something to do with her sons disappearance.

“I need this man, Teddy, to tell me the truth because I know he’s lying to the police and to me. I want to know where Teddy has my son…I really need help to find my son because it has been going for a month already. If my son died, I need to find him still wherever they put him,” the woman said.
